Dr. Marc Avram is a Harvard-trained board certified dermatologist and hair loss specialist, practicing in the Upper East Side of New York City. We are pleased to welcome Dawn Queen MD as our fellow dedicated to medical and surgical hair loss for 2024-25. Dr. Queen completed her dermatology residency training at Columbia University Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident in her final year. She also obtained her medical school and bachelor’s degrees from Columbia.

The etiology of Alopecia Areata is unknown. We do believe it results from our immune system attacking our hair follicles. We know it can be reversed in the majority of patients.
