Our immune system and Alopecia Areata

The etiology of Alopecia Areata is unknown.  We do believe it resuls from out immune system attacking our hair follicles.  We know it can be reversed in the majority of patients.

This study represents the need for patients with Alopecia Areata to be monitored by their primary MD for other autoimmune or psychiatric disorders.
