PRP for Hair Loss- UPDATE


PRP continues to be a novel, widely used treatment for thinning hair. Our experience over the past two years has shown that the majority of patients have positive effects from PRP. The effect can be in a range from new hair growth, to thicheking of existing thining hair to stopping ongoing hair loss. A minority of patients have seen no benefit from PRP.


PRP is not FDA approved, and there are no long-term safety sutdies done to date. There have been many published clinical trials that reflects the positive impact of PRP in hair and report it to be safe.


PRP continues to be an important treatment, new treatment option for hair loss.
