PRP is a safe and effective treatment for male and female pattern hair loss

In our experience, PRP helps 2 out of 3 patients.  We measure effectiveness 6 months after three monthly treatments.  In 2 out of 3 patients we see an increased hair density and therefore we perform a maintenance treatment every 9 months.  This has become a popular treatment option for patients.  There is no daily medication needed to be taken and minimal risk of side effects with PRP.  In 1 out of 3 patients we do not see enough of a response to continue maintenance treatments annually.  For those patients a different medical regimen will be started.
